Check Out Justice League Members Standing By Superman's Grave In New Deleted Scene Still

In recent days, we have seen a wave of behind-the-scenes photos from Justice League make their way onto the internet. Zack Snyder keeps sharing glimpses at sequences and characters that never made it into the final, abridged cut of the film, and his latest offering is one of the most interesting yet. Specifically, the director has shared a picture of the League standing by the grave of Superman (Henry Cavill) in Smallville. Check out the photo, below.

Justice League definitely offers a glimpse of this sequence, but it looks like Zack Snyder shot a more in-depth version of the scene than we had initially assumed. In this iteration of the grave robbing scene, instead of just seeing Flash (Ezra Miller) and Cyborg (Ray Fisher) digging up the Man of Steel, we instead see that Aquaman (Jason Momoa) and Wonder Woman (Diana Prince) are both present for the act as well, despite Diana's protests to it.

Of course, there's one notable absence from Zack Snyder's Vero-released photo: Ben Affleck's Batman. This portion of the movie takes place right before the team opts to head for Metropolis to revive the Last Son of Krypton, and it seems logical to assume that Bats may have stayed behind to prepare the logistics for the other portions of the mission. After all, he is the world's greatest strategist.

This photo shows an interesting new layer to the Superman revival portion of Justice League, and it also continues to hammer home the fact that the film originally spent far more time in Smallville than the theatrical cut would have led you to assume. In fact, another recently-released photo from Zack Snyder also shows a scene involving Lois Lane (Amy Adams) spending time at Kent Farm with Martha Kent (Diane Lane), thus suggesting that the Kent homestead had a far more substantial role in the first cut of the movie.

Now it's a matter of waiting to see if we will ever see a restored version of Zack Snyder's Justice League that shows any of these sequences. As we have documented numerous times over the last few months, there's a vocal segment of the DCEU fanbase that has called for the release of the "Snyder Cut," which would depict a lengthier version of Justice League supposedly more in-line with what Snyder originally wanted to release. Not only would the Snyder Cut likely feature many of the scenes that the Man of Steel director has teased in recent weeks, but it reportedly also would feature an appearance by Darkseid (who only gets a brief shout-out in the film) to set up a much more significant conflict further down the line. We've had no word that this cut will ever happen, but it's still interesting to think about.

Justice League is currently available on Digital HD and Blu-ray. Pick up your copy, and make sure to keep an eye on the DCEU for the upcoming release of James Wan's Aquaman, which will debut later this year on December 21.

Vin Diesel's big screen career as a comic book character has been heard but not seen, but an upcoming project will finally put him on the big screen and now we know who he'll be battling. Vin Diesel is currently hard at work getting in shape in order to bring Bloodshot to the big screen and now it has been announced that Planet of the Apes star Toby Kebbell will star opposite Diesel as the Harbinger Ax.

Toby Kebbell himself is an actor known for being heard but not seen, as he frequently handles motion capture roles such as the Planet of the Apes movies and Warcraft and while a role in a big comic book movie could certainly lead to a similar role, that doesn't appear to be the case here. The character of Ax in the Bloodshot comics isn't a monstrous supervillain, but instead a human with innate technical wizardry. While the character has gone through a number of changes in the comics over the years, the original version of Ax, who is the more villainous, and thus likely the version we'll see in the film, has the ability to communicate directly with technology, giving him the ability to hack ATMs, before graduating to hacking into entire banks. In later versions of the comic Ax is more of a political activist character. Perhaps we could see Ax evolve over time if Bloodshot becomes a franchise, or some elements of the newer character could be used in the film version as well.

This could be something of a redemption opportunity for Toby Kebbell, whose previous turn as a comic book bad guy was as Doom in the most recent Fantastic Four movie. That one didn't exactly go over well as the film was universally panned by both critics and fans, leaving the entire franchise is in limbo.

Bloodshot will be one of the first major attempts recently to start a comic book film franchise based on a character that isn't part of the larger DC or Marvel universes. Bloodshot is part of the Valiant universe and has the potential to spawn a number of sequels and spinoffs itself using other characters within the Valiant Entertainment brand.

The Wrap reports that production on Bloodshot is set to begin next month so we can expect that any other major roles that need to be filled will be handled in short order. Currently, Michael Sheen, Eiza Gonzlez, Talulah Riley, Alex Hernandez and Sam Heughan are all attached to the project in various capacities. Dave Wilson is set to direct, it will be his first film in that role.

Currently Bloodshot has no release date but if production is getting underway now we could potentially see the film as early as next summer.
